Will there be prizes for winning leagues and tournaments?

Yes - we currently maintain a community wallet which contains NFTs from various collections including MNGO, Lost Pigs, Tinyhorse and others.

https://www.asalytic.app/wallet/community.oink.algo?tab=activity&secondaryTab=owned To make this sustainable we will be taking donations for prizes from collab projects and potentially allocating funds from Downbad staking for prizes. Details TBC.

How many leagues are there?

Leagues are dynamic - as more people join the number of leagues will grow. We will start off as follows.

  1. Premier League

  2. Championship

  3. League 1

  4. League 2

  5. ...

  6. League N

How do you determine which league a team starts in?

Using Oink Points. Points represent the amount of OOYC assets a user holds as follows

  • Lost Pig/Custom Lost Bot - 4

  • Activated Lost Bot - 2

  • Build/Enhanced Lost Bot - 1

There will be a sign-up period for Oink Soccer. The teams with the top 20 points will start in the Premier League, the next 20 in the Championship and so on.

What if I don't have enough assets to make up a team?

OINK soccer is 5-a-side. When you create a team you are allocated 5 free agents which will allow you to play by holding 1 or more assets of the collections we support. These free agents will have lower ability ratings than supported collections such as Lost Pigs. For example, if you hold 2 Lost Pigs and 1 Lost Bot, your team can include 2 free agents to make up the numbers.

What if I no longer hold any eligible assets?

You must hold at least 1 OOYC asset to play. If you no longer hold any assets in your team wallet your team lose every game they play in. At the end of the season any teams not holding at least 1 OOYC asset will be clawed back. This helps remove inactive teams from the leagues.

How are player ratings determined?

We hold a dataset of real soccer player attributes. These attributes include various abilities such as shooting, tackling and goalkeeping. We then compute an overall score for each player - for example a world class player might be 93/100, where as a lower league player might be 65/100.

We then group players into categories based on their overall score:

  • Legendary: 87-100

  • World Class: 80-86

  • Professional: 70-80

  • Semi-professional: 55-70

  • Amateur: 0-55

Players are then assigned to NFTs you own based on some probabilities:

These ratios will be in effect from season 2.

  • Lost Pigs/Custom bots/Legendary bots/Lost Pig bots (tier 1)

    • 40% chance allocated a world class or legendary player

    • 50% chance allocated a professional player

    • 10% chance allocated a semi-professional player

  • Activated bots (tier 2)

    • 10% chance allocated a world class player

    • 50% chance allocated a professional player

    • 30% chance allocated a semi-professional player

    • 10% chance allocated an amateur player

  • Build bots/Enhanced bots/collabs (tier 3)

    • 5% chance allocated a world class player

    • 30% chance allocated a professional player

    • 45% chance allocated a semi-professional player

    • 20% chance allocated an amateur

Players are reallocated each season to prevent player attributes affecting NFT value.

Can I have more than 1 team?

For season one we are restricting teams to one per manager.

In future we will be adding mechanics to the game that add perks for holding more assets. The goal is to eliminate idle assets, such that it would be a disadvantage to any players using multiple wallets. One mechanic we will add is the introduction of a reputation score which will be influenced by fans of the club. The number of fans would be determined by the number of assets held. The reputation score will increase gate receipts and also chances of winning home matches, where the crowd can play a big part in the outcome of a match.

Do I need to wait for my opponent to be online?

No. Fixtures are fully automated and games will take place at set times. You just need to set your starting lineup before the game starts.
